Nicki Sun

Nicki Sun is a multimedia host, journalist, television producer, and entertainer from Fremont, CA whom was recently recognized by the city of San Francisco as an emerging leader in new media. Often referred to as the Bay Area’s sunshine, you may have heard her on 89.3 KOHL radio, or seen her on the CW, Bay Area Comcast Sports, and KOFY TV. Motivated to expand the influence of Asian American artists within mainstream media, she is notorious for engaging a global audience online via YouTube, social media, and live chat shows—interviewing a range of rising stars to covering the hottest underground events.

Getting her start at UC Davis’ AggieTV, she has been privileged to work and travel with many organizations and individuals, most notably documenting a culinary tour in China and Hong Kong with friend and mentor Chef Martin Yan. When she’s not hosting live shows, she enjoys working with youth, advocating cancer-related and human trafficking issues, and producing shows at MYX TV. In her free time, she enjoys trying new foods while watching the food network, discovering and composing new music, working out, doing Nicki Minaj and British/Aussie impressions, and convincing others that cilantro is the spice of life.
